Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Beruf, Ausbildung, Organisation, Note: 1,0, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Was lässt sich als Leistung definieren? Und vor allem, wer legt die Maßstäbe fest, an denen wir selbst und andere gemessen werden? Und welche Art der Leistung erlangt Anerkennung? Was geschieht, wenn die Anerkennung ausbleibt? In dieser Arbeit möchte ich diese Fragen beantworten. Ziel ist es, herauszufinden, ob ein Mangel der drei Anerkennungstypen Liebe und Freundschaft, Recht sowie soziale Wertschätzung Burn-out am Arbeitsplatz begünstigt. Zunächst werde ich den oftmals sehr unterschiedlich gebrauchten Begriff Burn-out definieren und darlegen, welche Faktoren Burn-out am Arbeitsplatz fördern können. Meine Analyse der veränderten Anerkennungsordnung bezüglich der Begünstigung von Burn-out bezieht sich also hauptsächlich auf die Sphäre der Arbeitswelt. Um ein besseres Verständnis von der Materie Anerkennung zu bekommen, werde ich anschließend auf die Bedeutung von Anerkennung eingehen und den Anerkennungsbegriff bei Axel Honneth und Stephan Voswinkel erläutern. Um nachvollziehen zu können, wie sich die Leistungsvorstellungen und die damit verbundenen Anerkennungsverhältnisse verändert haben, werde ich schließlich die arbeitsweltlichen Veränderungen seit der Frühindustrialisierung auf die evozierten Veränderungen der Anerkennungsordnung beziehen. Ob schwindende Anerkennung in der Berufswelt zu einem erhöhten Anerkennungsbedarf in der Sphäre des Privaten führt, werde ich ebenfalls mit in meine Analyse einbeziehen. Den Schluss meiner Arbeit bilden eine kritische Stellungnahme auf das Phänomen Burn-out und eine zusammenfassende Darstellung meiner Analyse und deren Ergebnisse.
