Mandalas have been researched in psychology, particularly by swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Gustav Jung, who founded analytic psychology and recognised that the Mandala had positive psychological effects.
Psychology has further recognised that the Mandala can promote psychological health through art and color therapy via their varied geometrical static and abstract patterns.
MANDALAS & CULTURE
'Mandala' is a Sanskrit word that translates to mean 'sacred circle' or 'centre', and originates from Hindu and Buddhist culture, although its forms are found in many parts of the world.
The Mandala is believed to have spiritual significance and to be symbolic of allowing us to become one with the universe by way of alternative meditation, particularly as Mandalas can be found in the natural environment that surrounds us.

Each Mandala per page has been intentionally 'centred' to allow you the freedom to use the surrounding space to note, journal, doodle or sketch in your own way, about how the Mandala has helped you feel, or any other mindful thought or action the Mandala therapy has encouraged within you.
We did not want to include straight lines to enforce writing structure upon you beyond the lines of the Mandalas themselves, as each Mandala therapeutic experience should be your own.
