Se suelen escribir los libros en solitario y alguna vez se ha escrito alguno a cuatro manos. En este caso son tres las personas que han intervenido, con sus propios poemas y canciones a contribuir al nacimiento de este proyecto poético. Es un libro con música, no solo la contenida en el propio pulso de la poesía, sino por las letras de las distintas canciones o por aquellos poemas que sin serlo, bien pudieran algún día ser musicados. Este es un libro familiar por dos razones. La primera, es porque ha sido creado por un poeta y dos de sus tíos. La segunda es porque su lectura nos lleva a momentos que nos van a resultar familiares: el amor a una patria, a una mujer, a la vida, el compromiso con unas creencias y la defensa de la vida. Por eso, el manantial es un símbolo perfecto para este libro, porque aquí, donde habita la poesía, habita también y fluye lentamente y murmurando la vida. Juan Navidad, editor
About the Author: Danilo Quiroz nació en un pequeño pueblo al norte de la República Dominicana. Su nombre; Puerto Plata. Disfruta la lectura y especialmente. Le apasiona el escribir poemas y canciones de diferentes ritmos. Le encanta la música popular. Toca la guitarra y disfruta mucho la música de tríos románticos, así como la música clásica. Admira grandemente a compositores como José Luis Perales, Camilo Sexto, al cantante español Raphael, entre muchos otros. "Amo la tranquilidad y los buenos hábitos". En el año 1980, vino a residir a los Estados Unidos. Residiendo en Nueva York por unos 27 Años. Actualmente, reside en la ciudad de Nashua, New Hampshire USA. "Dedico este trabajo a mi querido hermano ido a destiempo, Rafael Alberto, un ángel terrenal que disfrutaba escribiendo poesías y canciones". Mario Gilberto Quiroz Robles nació en Puerto Plata, Rep. Dominicana. Desde temprana edad se inclinaba por la poesía y la música. Ha escrito poesías desde sus años de educación secundaria Graduado como Dr. En Medicina, en la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, Rep. Dominicana. (1977) Médico Cirujano de la Universidad de Carabobo, Valencia, Venezuela (1987). Es cantautor y actualmente se encuentra preparando su primer CD con canciones de su propia autoría. César Augusto Quiroz es un cantautor y poeta bilingüe publicado en español e inglés. Estudió inglés mucho antes de llegar a Los Estados Unidos bajo la tutela de un profesor alemán radicado en Santo Domingo de nombre James Leader (Yeri). Como siempre le ha encantado aprender y mantenerse ocupado se inscribió en el Hostos Community College graduándose de computación en el año 1988. Tomó un tiempo de descanso, ya que estudiaba y trabajaba a tiempo completo. Luego, inició algunos estudios en el año 1990 en el Lehman College por más de un año. Consiguió trabajo en la Junta de Educación de New York en enero de 1989 donde todavía trabaja con sus conocimientos de computación y de intérprete. Ha traducido varios libros de otras personas así como documentos y sus 2 libros de poesías, los cuales tradujo hace tiempo verán la luz -si Dios lo permite- el próximo año 2016. Perteneció en los años 90 a la orquesta Merenguera: School Band, aunque se inclina por el género balada. Ha participado en muchos eventos de música y poesía. Su poema "Time Extinction" fue publicado hace unos 15 años en los libros: Dance Upon The Shore, en la National Library of Poetry... y A celebration of Poets en The Poetry Guild..
