About the Book

COMIC FICTION: Leamus was a mystery to everybody. Nobody knew where he was really from or why he was suddenly 'in' this little mid western college town. But he was supposedly the one person on earth who had unraveled the historic DaVinci painting's all important ... Sixth Clue!At first glance one is slightly startled by this image's seemingly derisive gesture. And the other artists and scholars of it's day noticed it too, but they saw it only as a form of protest against "The Last Supper" painting's patron himself, L. Sforza, whose face is actually in the painting. But it is actually the all important 6th clue itself! How clever is that? The best example yet of the extraordinary and ingenious efforts that went into 'ensuring' that the painting's astonishing secret would remain just that - a secret - for at least the next 500 years. Because it needed to. And so it has. Until now!The other 6 clues within the painting (there are seven in total) have already been identified. But only with this last remaining clue can the location of the 'mysterious castle tower', and therefore the location of the Holy Grail itself, be accurately determined. And then whoever gets to it first, well ... the possibilities thereafter, be they religious, financial, or political, simply boggle the mind! But keep in mind, ALWAYS keep in mind, that the Devil himself ... is probably after it too!And so now several people, including Frank the retired east coast crime boss, and Gletkin the eastern European ace spy, and, of course, a twenty something sorceress with a kinkiness for drugs, have clandestinely descended upon this little college town. Because it was now simply a question of one thing and one thing only ... who could get Leamus to talk first! [ after a few minutes she was back to normal. He poured himself another plastic cup of cheap booze and waited to see what would happen next. They were both now silent. "Listen," she finally said. And then there was a long pause. "I saw EVERYTHING last night. On the football field. I saw the whole thing." Leamus just stared at her now. And with a very new focus. He needed to know more. What? Why? How? A full minute passed. She, meanwhile, just sat there and silently played with her paper clip wire and her stupid looking crack pipe. Finally he blurted out ... "Salerno! I get it - you're with Frank!" But then suddenly a grogginess set in and it arrived with a very dull thud. "Hey what's happening?" he inquired. "Did you put something in my drink?" But his language was now slurry. It was quickly getting harder and harder to talk. He looked at her sitting there with her downward cast smirk and managed to get out one last angry question ..."HAVE YOU BEEN SEE'IN THAT LASAGNA MAKING BAST..." But then only darkness. And it was around noon too! ]
