About the Book

The judges of the XV Literary Biennial José Antonio Ramos Sucre, recognised in Mall, by Julieta León, a book with a clear and pure voice, with an ironic and incisive outlook which, brings up to date Western mythologies, revealing aspects of contemporary societies with their unrestrained consumerism, markets of desire and flesh, and man's loneliness in the temples of commerce. The language in Mall has a verbal forcefulness that reveals that the hand that wrote it is fully aware of it's expressive resources, with unity and coherence in its structure and theme, which makes this book a testament to our times.
