About the Book

"Irrespective of its sources, racism is racism. Ignorance is no excuse. Insecurity is not justification... racism in all its forms should be uncompromisingly condemned." - Michael Dodson The Making of A Racist is a thrilling story of people with entirely different backgrounds and education levels that due to experiences and lack of knowledge gets out of hand. Brutality, hatred and fear of the other, slowly start to control each unit and destroy their living quality to its utmost. This novel shows what humans are capable of doing when they see their environment as endangered. Vienna, in the very heart of Europe, witnesses racism, emotional breakdowns, threatening self-doubts and the disastrous relationships of its inhabitants who don't know what fear is. They are so fond of frightening others with their so called rules. Many of these rules are created only for foreigners. Breaking laws in order to teach lessons, seems like an appropriate way for some people to make their message clear, if only their message was understandable. During unexpected, ugly as well as humiliating and inhuman circumstances, you will be conferred the lives of several people fighting for what they call "their right" regardless of others. Those that don't bend or break, are considered a threat. Did any of this really happen?
About the Author: A stubborn, eccentric, anarchist was always trying to find out about the source, the origin and the nature of people. The confrontation with inequality is an issue that she is focusing on since her early childhood. She worked on many different grounds and in many countries to find the reason why people do not respect each other. Human rights and humanity is one of the guiding red cords all through her life. Working with socially neglected children, children with disabilities as well as homeless, she didn't get any closer to the answer she was searching for. A child gave her a clue when fighting his fear, of not being equal out of financial reason, with brutality against weaker ones. This was the beginning of her career as a writer. She wrote a play for children acted by children. The waking call was striking. For many years Jolanda Edwards withdrew until she now came out with her newest book, which you are holding in your hands.
