About the Book

PROLOUGE A composition compressed in a book for readers who like slow, descriptive reading. This tale of fiction, based on happenings moulded to make interesting reading, took place around the 1970s, a couple of years since Tiger Hunting was banned and pronounced illegal by the Indian authorities. A renowned Hunter in his time, Shikari Joe, together with his hunting buddies - Barney, Victor and Jess implored by tribal villagers to hunt down a tiger who was becoming a menace and dangerous threat to their village in the Londa jungles of India. This hunt done they return to their hometown only to find the Mysore Maharaja's cousin waiting to take them to Mysore as the distinguished guests to the Maharaja's palace where a batch of four youth anxiously awaited. These four "guests" were eager to be taken on a tiger hunt, wanting to witness live the thrills and chills of encountering a man-eating tiger in the jungles of Mysore. Moreover one of the four had a jungle phobia which she intended to overcome and hence took the plunge. Joe was called upon by the Maharaja of Mysore frequently to accompany him to tiger hunts; from back in the day when tiger hunting was legal and permitted. Also villagers, forest rangers and Government departments related to forestry called upon Shikari Joe to help them rid tigers who endangered the locality by turning rogue-beasts, man-eaters, four-legged wild domestic cattle thieves or just ferociously dangerous. Names of persons, places and live incidents that occurred have been altered to keep anonymity safeguarding the privacy of the concerned individuals as per request. DEDICATED TO UNCLE TONY THE GREATEST YARN SPINNER OF ALL TIME! This book comes as a sequel to the first, published at Amazon and at Kindle, in paperback and eBook formats respectively under the title...Maalik...maaliK - A Tiger Tale. Written exclusively for children by "Uncle Tye." This present book that you are reading/holding...Hunting Master Stripes...is for slightly bigger children readership. Watch out for the next book by TYE Corneille - UPYA...Fable of Apis... UPYA...Fable of APIS... is about a normal, pimply faced youth Trevor travelling from Mumbai to Bangalore by car meets with an accident and is transformed into Tobby called; by APIS and his cult of die-hard followers; as UPYA. He inherits immense wealth, powers, and realises that he is one of the most successful, powerful and wealthy business magnates in the world - a legacy left for him as the chosen successor of the former UPYA who reigned for 7373 years, 73 days, 73 minutes and 73 seconds precisely true to the myth! Tobby eases in gradually into his new life of royalty, oomph and magic spells that leave him craving for more and more. His torrid dreams, on the acceptance of his new being, lead him on a journey of adventure, perils, fantasy, devilish rituals and challenges.
