About the Book

This pandemic allows only a few humans to survive.Has it been deliberately unleashed? A survivor, Loïc, has many reasons to believe that. An investigation must be conducted, because if it's true, the "Angel of Death" has certainly delivered the antidote to some of his friends. If they are his accomplices, how can we tolerate thant they live with impunity alongside innocents? And if they are whole groups, how can we accept that they repopulate the Earth they made a huge cemetery? Meanwhile, life, again, is getting organized: communities are formed. But people also walk to cities by the thousands. Heads arise, small dictators obtrude necessarily, militias surround people and suck them in, surfing on voluntary servility. How to stop the inexorable caking which would lead to the repetition of an often absurd human history? The novel, which incorporates the general lines of the classic problem of "post-apo" (like "The Stand" by Stephen King) follows the destinies crossed by a dozen survivors of very different ages and characters. It is built on a progressive weaving of their lives and their actions, on the intertwining of a search for truth, a pursuit of monstrous criminals and an political and dystopian tale. We're hanging on a key issue: is the renascent world will -or not- move in a quite new way? That of freedom preferred to power?
