Un extrait d'un article du 20 Février 1962 paru dans le journal "The Guardian" disait: L'Unification du Cameroun Francophone avec l'ancien Cameroun du Sud administré par les Britanniques est une 'Expérience Unique' en Afrique...La réunification des deux territoires a marqué une étape importante dans la cause des nationalistes-civique Camerounais pour réunir les terres de l'ancienne colonie Allemande de Kamerun (1884-1916) qui fut divisée par la Grande-Bretagne et la France suite à la défaite de l'Allemagne lors de la Première Guerre mondiale en Cameroun Britannique (Cameroun Britannique du Sud ou Cameroun Méridional Britannique-British Southern Cameroons et Cameroun du Nord Britannique ou Cameroun Septentrional Britannique-British Northern Cameroons). C'était un pas en avant dans la réalisation du rêve du "CAMEROUN NOUVEAU ", même si les nationalistes-civique Camerounais qui tissaient l'Idéal étaient traqués par les forces françaises de pacification, et malgré le fait que la France avait réussi à installer un régime fantoche dans Cameroun Francophone-c'est-a-dire Ahmadou Ahidjo qui a mis en oeuvre le plan de match de la France, en commençant par l'usurpation du programme de réunification et en le donnant une mauvaise réputation. Aujourd'hui, le projet de réunification est en plein essor, en particulier chez les Camerounais de l'ancien Cameroun Méridional Britannique.C'est pourquoi les peuples Camerounais se posent la question: Que doivent-ils faire pour se débarrasser d'un système anachronique imposé par la France qui rend le Cameroun piégé dans le sous-développement, dans la corruption, dans la fraude, dans la découragement, dans la dictature et dans la division alors même que le reste du monde avance?Janvier Tchouteu apporte quelques réponses succinctes dans ce récit qui fournissent les lignes directrices du rêve Camerounais ultime-c'est-a-dire le rêve du "CAMEROUN NOUVEAU" adopté par les nationalistes-civiques Camerounais qui ont été soit éliminés, soit mis à l'écart ou soit minés pendant soixante années de néocolonialisme par la France en utilisant le système ralentissant mis en place au Cameroun sous le régime fantoche d'Ahmadou Ahidjo de 1960-1982 et de son successeur le régime actuel de Biya qui a pris le relais en 1982 .Aujourd'hui, le Cameroun est à la croisée des chemins. Alors que c'est maintenant évident que le système est anachronique et n'est plus viable, et que l'establishment politique est prêt à entraîner le pays dans les abysses plutôt que de renoncer au pouvoir, le Cameroun risque aussi d'être déchiré par ceux qui n'ont jamais aimé la réunification-les gens qui voudraient que le territoire de l'ancien Cameroun Méridional Britannique (the former British Southern Cameroons) devienne un pays séparé. Les deux groupes constituent des obstacles au Cameroun Nouveau et ils retardent le voyage du pays pour prendre sa place en tant que "Le Noyau de l'Union Africaine" émergente.
