WHAT OTHER GOD IS THERE BUT A VIOLENT ONE
Years after instigating the insanity of the Zombie Civil War, the first generation human mutations, Dekker, Rainbow, Klusta, Emerson, Ranter and Dillon have become involved in the illegal business of selling water to the citizens of a city wracked by drought. But they soon come into contact with the original Religious Enforcer Seth Charles, a conflicted and some say a deranged individual who has been dispatched by the Governor-General to ensure the people of Sydney pay their taxes and follow the one true religion of Cykam.
"You lying little bitch," Seth Charles snarled, but his face betrayed the embarrassment that he felt.
"It's denial, isn't it? Denial of your true self," Calista said, trying to control her breathing in an attempt to make this argument last for as long as it could. "It's all you priests ever do. So many of you are gay, but you are the ones who condemn homosexuality the most."
"You are dead!" the High Priest growled. "The time of new-age sluts like you is over."
"Just accept your own sexuality and stop thrusting your anger and frustrations onto everybody else. We are all so sick of it!" Calista replied, exasperated.
"Shut up!" Charles snapped.
"You are still not denying it, are you?" Calista continued. "And what does the Cykam religion have to do with this prejudice anyway? I thought you had reached the Promised Land.".
"We decided to make a stand for the family," Charles said, "for the new world values."
"Homosexuality is normal, Seth Charles," Calista now said. "Sexuality was never limited or confined inside a small box. It is wild and free and always will be, no matter how much you try to repress it, and so long as you don't hurt anyone, who cares what you do? But being homophobic," she said, shaking her head sadly at him, "now that is not normal, that is unnatural."
