About the Author: As an imaginative child Ava enjoyed listening to fairy tales. The pictures of Cinderella and Prince Charming in shining armour were beautiful but she wanted more. Looking at pictures was fun but reading what the prince did to wake up Cinderella was what Ava wanted to know. She was also curious how the brave night could kill that very big and fierce dragon when it was spitting fire at him?
There was only one thing for her to do, learn to read. She did and at a very early age. On her sixth birthday she received a magazine subscription for a children's magazine from her father. This magazine and the other stories she read improved her writing and at the age at eleven Ava started her career as a reporter at the school newspaper. She remained an active member of the group until she moved on to high school.
The years flew by. She graduated from business collage and soon after left Budapest, thus leaving the carefree years behind her.
The next few years were hectic. Ava had to learn a new language, got married and started working. Writing remained part of her daily activity. As a real estate agent she wrote contracts, newsletters, corresponded with her clients and did her own advertising.
Writing stories or articles never even entered her thoughts, her career demanded all of her time. She fondly remembered the few years she wrote for the school news paper, jokingly calling it her childhood career. The odd time she wondered what her life would be as an author, but her thoughts stopped there.
The years of dedication to her business paid off and she had free time on her hands. Her interest for writing was only dormant, not dead. Soon Ava began to study writing. All of the stories she heard in her earlier years Ava filed and stored in a box and safely stored on a back shelf of her mind.
With more free time on her hands, her mind wondered about those fascinating stories in her file box. Solely the people, places and their stories emerged from the past, painting a picture in her mind of a world and a lifestyle that has gone for ever. To her surprise the story has never last its hold on her. The characters came a live even more vividly as before. It was time for her to assemble the story and put it on paper. After some frustration and a complete rewrites, fallowed by the long editing process, the book about her favourite characters "Loving Amber" was born.
Ava and her husband try to escape the cold Canadian winters whenever they can.
