Love,
while, accompanying you,
brings with it,
youthful eagerness,
some unnecessary mystery,
a total fluency, or a steely indecision
A great set of poems, dealing with Grief, Anger, the mistaken Innocence in a new Love, or the beauty of a long relationship, or a plunge into Irregular Affairs.
The poems in the book, takes you, on a journey, to busy market places, lonely beaches, mountain tops, offices and its neighbourhood bars, villages, hotel rooms, parks and bus stations, in a search for a Love Lost, or while inside passions, at the peak of one relationship, or at a Nadir of another affair, at the cusp of a Melancholy, or just drowning in Nostalgia and pining for a Love that is Lost, but its details, now slowly, turning hazy.
Apart from the above, there are also a couple of poems about Nature, and some poems reflecting human frailty and its consequences, when the protagonist, is among friends, or in a crowd.
Beautifully articulated and engrossing till the very last poem, called 'The Climb', about the author adapting himself, for a desire to make his Love last.
The author is also the illustrator, and there are are some lovely illustrations in the book too, adding to its vibe.
