About the Author: Leonardo Padrón (Caracas, Venezuela, 1959). Poeta, ensayista, guionista de cine y televisión, cronista, editor. Ha publicado los poemarios La orilla encendida (1983), Balada (1993), Tatuaje (2000), Boulevard (2002), El amor tóxico (2005); así como Crónicas de la vigilia (ensayo, 1990), Manuela Sáenz (guión cinematográfico, 2001) y Los imposibles 1/ conversaciones al borde de un micrófono (2006), Los imposibles 2 (2007) y Los imposibles 3 (2008). Ha sido Premio de Poesía UCAB, Premio Fundarte de Ensayo, Premio Municipal de Cine, Premio de la Asociación Nacional de Autores Cinematográficos y Premio Fundavisual Latina. Fue miembro de Guaire, grupo literario de decisiva influencia en la década de los ochenta en la literatura venezolana. Ha sido director de varios talleres literarios y articulista de los principales periódicos y revistas culturales del país y y su obra se encuentra vertida a varios idiomas. Dirigió la colección "Llámalo amor, si quieres", del sello Aguilar. Es uno de los escritores más exitosos de la televisión venezolana, con más de 25 premios en su haber. Creador de Los imposibles, programa de entrevistas a personajes internacionales, experiencia radial que devino en aventura editorial, siendo el libro venezolano (tres volúmenes) más vendido por la Editorial Santillana en los últimos años; recientemente convertido en programa televisivo de gran prestigio.
