About the Author: Roberto Quesada, a quien el prestigioso escritor norteamericano Kurt Vonnegut ha llamado: "Claro, vivaz y muy talentoso escritor", nació en Honduras, en 1963. Es autor de El desertor (cuentos, 1985), Los barcos (novela, 1988), que ha gozado de gran éxito en Estados Unidos Big Banana, su tercera novela, también tuvo una magnífica acogida en Estados Unidos en 1999, y de igual manera su edición en español (Seix Barral, 2000). Su novela Nunca entres por Miami (Mondadori 2002) ha figurado en la lista de bestseller. Su obra ha recibido favorables comentarios de importantes publicaciones literarias, como The New York Times Book Review y Babelia (El País, España). Desde 1989 reside en Nueva York. Ha recibido el Premio del Instituto Latinoamericano de Escritores en los Estados Unidos, 1996. Y en su faceta periodística recibió el Premio Nacional de Periodismo "Jacobo Cárcamo", Honduras, 2009.
