Al encontrar buenos horizontes en Alemania, sólo vuelvo a mi tierra para disfrutarla en compañía de todo aquello que me abruma para llevármelo muy lejos. Alguien que no nació allí y timbra los filamentos más sensibles de un lugar, es el verdadero bardo que sólo requiere la inspiración de lo bello que hay, aunque muy lejos, para crear los versos que pronto usted leerá.Ese museo al cielo, mi tierra, en perpetuo romance con el sol, donde existe la ciudad soñada de Rainer María Rilke, ahora tiene a su vate. Porque, como dice en su poemario: Una porción de Sevilla es un destello de sol en la pupila de Dios nació en un pergamino de cante jondo silenciosa rueca de lino e hizo pálida y tonal túnica para cubrir la maja noche tañer con dedal de plata garba guitarra y la gaditana gira su rociera falda de alto talle lunar y raso ribete de blanco coral. Si al lugar en donde usted ha nacido le crean versos similares, y más si usted vive muy lejos, le ahondará un sentimiento de sublimación y nostalgia. Y aunque no sea el suyo el lugar evocado con esta magnificencia, sin despegar un solo pie, viajará y dichoso lugar será también suyo y de su recuerdo, porque uno recuerda en palabras más que imágenes. Las palabras inmediatamente nos hacen plenos de imágenes imborrables.Ya puedo enfrentar a la que más tememos, y es a partir de la inspiración versística del presente libro para la vida, pues entonces usted como yo le diremos: Vida quítame la muerte antes que la vida cólmame de escollos si con ello hago un arte de mi caminar. Porque he confirmado que hay una sola huella encima de otras las mías alguien las borró y aún no doy un solo paso ¿a quién caminan si el caminante olvidó sus pasos? Me olvidaré de los míos, pero nunca de estos versos.García Lorca escribió "Andalucía es increíble. Oriente sin veneno. Occidente sin acción". No lo entiendo del todo, pero muy repetido en mi niñez, y los versos de este libro en relación al deletéreo de la gaditana, me abren una luz de ese veneno para los enemigos o para el amante que engaña al garbo gitano. Aunque más bien es la infusión preparada por tantos siglos para el embeleso que extasía para nunca abandonarse.Cuando me encuentro en algún momento oscuro, recuerdo los versos del poemario en sus manos y esa penumbra huye cuando me oye versar: A dónde andas luz y no alumbras mi camino te fuiste con el guiño de la gitana. Supe también que cada quien cargaba un imaginario diamante listo a brillar en momentos difíciles: Un diamante emana de sonoro y lento canto seguiriyas con olor helénico martinetes de sonora voz estoque toledano de serrana. Y ya mi caminar es, tal cual el poeta hace una elegía: Tendido al paso del Gaditanum el estrecho de Cádiz vencidas las columnas de Heracles con lejana lírica del aún más vencido al-Ándalus. Yo, ya nunca más vencido, sólo enamorado de la vida, y la vida empieza para uno en el lugar que lo vio nacer: el poeta nace de sus versos y es entonces el único capaz de renacerse a sí mismo.Libro uno de la serie EspañolíasAntonio García Terrés
