She began to have a profound desire for empowering others when she finally began to take her power back in her own personal life. For years she was married to a physical and emotional abusive spouse. She began to gather inner strength and take her power back, and that's when her self-esteem started to increase. Carla started reading motivational books, listened to empowerment speakers and joined support groups. During this period, she developed a strong desire for helping others, and pushing them to succeed No Matter What. She went on to raise her now grown five children, by herself. Obtained her Bachelor's degree, in Social Work.
