So empfiehlt der Versicherungsvertreter eine Kapitallebensversicherung, der Bankier eine Anlange in gemanagte Fonds, der Immobilienmakler eine Investition in eine von ihm zu vermittelnde Immobilie und die eigene Großmutter womöglich die fragwürdige Alternative des sicheren Sparbuches. Doch viele dieser Anlagen sind im Sinne der Vermögensbildung nicht zielführend und werden von Vermittlern nicht präzise, transparent und kundengerecht beleuchtet. Lange Zeit mieden deutsche Privatanleger auch die Aktienmärkte und werteten diese als Ort für Glücksspiel und Teufelszeug ab. Allerdings bewegt sich der DAX in Zeiten der Niedrigzinsphase um die 12.000 Punkte Marke und brach in den letzten Jahren Rekord um Rekord. Für Anlagen in Geldmarktfonds, als Termingeld oder sogar auf dem Sparbuch kann es durchaus von Vorteil sein, Reserven von einigen Netto-Monatsgehältern sicher und schnell verfügbar anzulegen. Doch für einen langfristigen Vermögensaufbau sind diese Kapitalanlagemöglichkeit eine fragwürdige Alternative und werfen schlichtweg keine lukrative Rendite ab. In Bezug auf Immobilien assoziieren die meisten Bürger den Begriff zunächst einmal mit der selbstgenutzten Immobilie, obwohl der Erwerb des Eigenheims nur eine von vielen Möglichkeiten darstellt, Vermögen mit einer Immobilie zu bilden. Durch die beiden Börsencrashs sowie der Euro- und Finanzkrise haben viele Privatanleger wieder gefallen am Immobilienmarkt gefunden.
