About the Book

The title is rather a provoking one and will raise objections from some people. Nevertheless the Lord gave me this title when I was battling against poverty. I was trying my best to help others out of poverty, sharing the little investment knowledge I know about shares, unit trusts, 32 days' notice investments, Government Bonds and stockvel . I say little knowledge because I'm not an expert in the field and have a lot to learn. It does not give an excuse to hoarding but encourages givers to give wisely. Most of us were not taught financial skills as children, when we got a coin we thought of buying rather than keeping it. Sadly some of our Christian children do not know the principles of giving to church.
About the Author: Doreen Clementine Mampani is a Christian author from South Africa. She writes non-fiction books and poetry. She went through rejection at home, in some churches and communities, unemployment, poverty, loss of material possession, sickness and disease. She suffered racism in her home and communities. By God's grace she wrote and writes her books. Doreen learned to speak English at age 17 at an Indian school. All her teachers were Indians and about 97% of students where Indians. She failed Accounting and chose to do typing in the middle of the year. Doreen approached the school principal, (Indian) and asked him to change her Accounting subject to Typing. She did not know much English then. His response was that "my dear, it was never done in this school before". Her response was, Sir, let me be the first one. He approved her request. She did all her subjects at lower grade so has some teachers regarded her. Only two of her teachers encouraged her to achieve in life. Most of her teachers regarded her poverty, inability to speak English, her IQ as that that she could not even enter college doors. Her Accounting teacher (Indian) said to her "Doreen, you are good for the streets". He meant she should be a prostitute. Her writing career started when she lost her job, her husband's business was not doing well, and they did not have any source of income to the level of losing their material possessions. Katalay, her husband, motivates Doreen to write and keep on writing. L'amour, her daughter, also encourages mama "write books so that I can read when I grow older". Her books includes Who Owns Your Soul?, Sin Tantalizers, The Reigning of the Refugee, The Storeroom Gives Birth to a Story (Poetry), Tribulation Escorting Triumph (Poetry), Author Without a Pen (Poetry), The Citizens Bow to the Refugees, 44 Liters of Tears (Poetry), The Plague of the Fatherless Home (Poetry), Awakening of the Impoverished Prince and Log of Poverty in the Eye.
