About the Book

This is the story of a young Black Man's struggle with sex and sexuality during the 1970's the 1980's up into 1990's. As he travels through life, the people he encounters and the lasting impressions they leave him with. He embarks on a journey across America from New York City, Houston, TX and Los Angeles to find that Living Vicariously really does bring life to life. It is a journey and not a destination. We can not live up to other people's expectations, but that if we meet at a focal point true utopia can be achieved
About the Author: From 1988 to 1995, Mr. Posley lived in Houston, Texas where he was employed at the National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) for Pioneer Contract Services a government contractor. While at NASA he worked in the Logistics Division as an Acquisition and Inventory Control Manager with expertise in Supply and Materials Management as well as Contract Negotiations. He was the Director of the Region IX Family Planning Cooperative Purchasing Program, Program Director of CO-OP II, A Group Purchasing Program for the Los Angeles-based California Family Health Council, Inc. While employed there, he was involved in the implementation and operation of a unique group purchasing cooperative, which negotiated bulk purchases and contract managed discount pharmaceuticals, medical/surgical, laboratory and administrative supplies for Title X federally funded family planning agencies as well as non-Title X agencies. The program provided family planning agencies with information and services to improve maternal and infant health, lower incidence of unintended pregnancy, reduce the incidence of abortion and lower rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STD's). In 2002 Reg Posley started the People With AIDS Coalition of South Carolina, as the Founder/Executive Director their mission statement is to improve public awareness, by increasing public understanding of, involvement in, and support for HIV/AIDS prevention in South Carolina. Developing and implement strategies to reduce behaviors or practices that place individuals at risk, or for HIV/AIDS positive individuals who place others at risk. Reducing HIV/AIDS infection would be an achievement because it would remove direct health burdens and significantly decrease disparities in health services. HIV/AIDS is migrating to high-risk communities throughout the United States. The coalition would change the devastating consequences of sexually transmitted diseases and the likelihood of spontaneous abortions, and birth defects caused by HIV/AIDS from mother to child, through cognizance and education. Through the coalition, communities that have fundamental failure of public health access can begin to rebuild their communities and control other infectious diseases and ensure, reproductive health. This process will greatly reduce the number of new cases seen by the health industry. As of 2009 he was recently inducted into Biltmore Who's Who.
