About the Book
Adventures and experiences from a boy who decided to live on a yacht at age 14 and who remained on the sea for over 30 years.I would like to tell the Adventurous, preparing for a boat trip into the unknown or are already involved, what I have experienced myself. Mostly I had a good time and only the usual problems with the crew, weather, and repairs, but also nasty surprises that I might avoid. My experience, I hope, will help someone to prevent at least similar and the like. I lived on board my yachts for nearly three decades with a few interruptions, at least half on the open ocean. During this time, I earned enough money to pay my bills with yacht sales, conversions, and charters, even if it sometimes became scarce. Except for dentists, I never needed a Doctor, stayed in perfect health, and learned many professions and five languages. In my logbooks, I have recorded my experiences and adventures, day after day, this gives me, in detail, the basis for this book. Also, at the risk that there should be problems with this, I will call Ross and Horseman, call attackers and banks by name. For each of my allegations, I have enough evidence to stand before a proper and honest court. Even such ones still exist, even if only rarely. About life on land, I think nothing, but I don't consider myself a dropout. Merely I keep my lodge place, to witness the many trench warfare for power, money, and prestige from a healthy distance, very interested in how it will go on. My home is the boat; the high sea remains my habitat. Should sometimes the circumstances on this planet immensely change, and it looks like, I will conquer the corresponding large island, and hire my sons as bureaucrats, of course, I must do them first and wait only impatiently thereon. (Written after four weeks stay on Caroline Island in 1994) Too many people vegetate on our planet. We have brought the Gaia, our Mother Earth, to the brink of destruction with our greed. Ocean water rise incessantly, on Caroline Island, the reef edge, lying 12 years before by low water dry, was mid-1994 waist-high below the water, we had to swim to reach the island. Two months before our arrival on Tuvalu island Niutao waves from a distant storm washed away half settlement up to the church, tha first time in the history without direct impact from a hurricn or tsunami and this were no huts but solid built houses and concrete watter tanks. Experts say latest in 10 years this island nations will cease to exist, coral islands will be than below the water. And it continues rising, most of the world metropolis will soon disappear below the water. Storms increase in strength; climate change seems unstoppable.Pollution from our civilization reached the beaches from loneliest remote islands, empty bottles, plastic products and dryed out oil lumps, even couple of preservatives can be found, waste without end. In the middle of oceans are giant swimming islands exclusive from peoples waste. The population rises dramatically, the natural wealth of the ocean, woods, and tropical rainforests are almost exhausted, destroyed accurate logging, and giant fires ignited for arable land reclamation. What happens next? The world's leading elite had already decided that the new world order is programmed, and 80% of humanity (Georgia Guide stones) was obsolete. The remaining 500 million intended to work for the rulers, who, like the old gods, live much longer because of the new successes in genetics. This idea is the right one, is my opinion, but unfortunately, in this case, it is not the gods, but the incompetent politicians who will lead the small remnant of humanity. Where Homo Ignoramus, quo Vadis People have been fighting for freedom since time immemorial, and today we are further away from it. So long we can't leave the Earth, life on the oceans remains the last chance for the individual to be reasonably free, apart from societal coercion.
