About the Book

Koza left the home she had been raised in, and headed her old car to New York City. With help from her father she had secured a condo on a large green belt, something almost impossible to find. She had no idea that she was moving into the neighborhood of a world famous dress designer, or that she would be living close to someone that would change her life in ways that she could never have imagined. Koza had accepted a job that would more than cover her expenses but she never expected the exciting challenge of a new profession to be added after she submitted the first story she had written in high school. Her transition to life in New York was thrilling in spite of the stress of an accident that brought Jay Spencer and his lawyer into her life. Jay seemed bigger than life. In his Whirlwind lifestyle, he was comfortable. He planned evenings at the most exclusive restaurants and arranged international flights with little effort. Who is this man that always knows the perfect thing to say or do, she wondered. Things were changing rapidly. A trip to Greece and a beach painted in gold would always hold a place in her heart as she held the tiny seashell he had found for her. The shock and the sudden return to New York to attend a funeral, followed by Jay's revelation left her feeling confused and upset. She pondered the promise she had given. Koza had no idea that her future would be bound to his with joy, fear, and trauma, as his life hung by a thread. Such mystery and heart felt pain filled the years ahead as Jay signed a lease to rent and renovate the Slater House on the S. and J. Ranch. The Hickory River flowed, keeping its secrets as a snowman smiled in the windows at a new generation about to discover why Jay was drawn there. Enjoy Koza's story and then read "The New Life Series." All ten are available now on Amazon or CreateSpace estore.
About the Author: Louise Bouck is a follower of Jesus Christ. She has been married to her husband, Dale Bouck for fifty seven years. Together they have raised six children. Until an early retirement from her fulltime job in 2000, very little time was available to allocate to writing or art. One of the many interests that Louise enjoys is painting on location. The lush greenery of Michigan, her home state and the abundant flowers in her grandmother's greenhouses and flower shop all encouraged her eye to appreciate the colors and beauty of nature. Later after moving to Arizona, the rugged landscape of the mountains and desert stole her heart and took her artistic soul in a new direction. Paintings in many media cover the walls of her studio as she has deliberately turned her creative side more to the discipline of the written word. Hesitantly she withdrew from the art gallery where her work was sold and left the position of resident artist at the local Historical Society Museum. Louise has written ten books in "The New Life Series", that are Christian; Bible based stories that she has now released. She continues to work on still another story and another painting. Some of her art work is included as cover art on her eBooks on Amazon.
