Marcel Reich-Ranicki, deutscher TV-Literaturkritiker, brachte das Problem auf den Punkt: Er wollte wissen, wie man sich der Herausforderung stellt, Literatur im Fernsehen zu präsentieren. Die Konzeption war zunächst einmal durch allgemeine Ratlosigkeit geprägt. Diese Untersuchung möchte einen Beitrag zu der komplexen Fragestellung der konzeptionellen Möglichkeiten von Literatur im Fernsehen liefern. Hier soll es nicht um literarische Inhalte gehen, nicht um die Übertragung von Wort in (Bewegt-)Bild. Im Fokus der Analyse steht der Kern Reich-Ranickis Frage: die Präsentation von Büchern in Literatursendungen. Wie also geht diese Präsentation vonstatten? Was wird dem Zuschauer gezeigt, von einem rechteckigen Objekt, das kaum zu visuellen Höchstleistungen auf dem Bildschirm taugt? In welcher Form wird die Besprechung, Empfehlung oder Kritik eines Buches bildlich und tonlich unterstützt? Welcher Mittel aus der ästhetischen Trickkiste bedienen sich die Macher literaturkritischer Formate? Für diese Analyse bietet das ZDF ein eigenes Kontinuum des Genres, da es seit mehr als 20 Jahren Literatursendungen ausstrahlt, u.a. die hier untersuchten Das Literarische Quartett, Lesen! und Die Vorleser.
About the Author: Constanze Arnold, B.A. wurde 1989 in Bad Frankenhausen (Thüringen) geboren. Ihr Bachelor-Studium im Fach Journalistik/Medienmanagement an der Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal beendete die Autorin im Sommer 2011. Derzeit studiert die Autorin den Master Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaft an der Universität Leipzig. Neben ihrem Studium sammelte Constanze Arnold praktische Erfahrungen durch die Produktion kurzer Dokumentarfilme, die Arbeit in einer Leipziger Filmproduktionsfirma sowie in der Video-Abteilung der Nachrichtenagentur dapd. Zudem arbeitet die Autorin seit 2011 als freiberufliche Journalistin und Eventfilmerin.
