Konstruktionen der Ukraine in ukrainischer und russischer Prosa Nach 1991 findet eine verstarkte (Selbst-) Ethnologisierung der Ukraine in der Literatur statt. Dafur gestalten ukrainisch- und russischsprachige Prosatexte kulturelle und fiktionale Raume. Die Narrationen mit Fokus auf die West-, Ost-, Zentralukraine und die Krym sowie L'viv, Kyiv und Charkiv werden in dieser Studie zu Objekten einer 'beobachtenden Lekture' literarischer Explorationen. Die Ukraine ist nicht nur in letzter Zeit von innen- wie aussenpolitischen Konflikten zerruttet, sondern seit Jahrhunderten von politischen Bruchen und territorialen Neuverschiebungen gepragt. Das zweitgrosste europaische Land ist zum Gegenstand national engagierter Konstruktionen und Dokumentationen geworden, die der Selbsterkundung und Positionierung dienen. Die Untersuchung analysiert dieses Phanomen anhand ukrainisch- und russischsprachiger Prosa aus der Zeit von 1991 bis 2011 - den ersten beiden Jahrzehnten der Unabhangigkeit der Ukraine. Der nachholende Anschluss der fiktionalen Ukraine an europaisch konnotierte Diskurse verdeckt zeitgleich zu findende literarische Charakteristika, die dem postmodernen Denken widersprechen: Das totgesagte Subjekt kehrt zuruck, die 'korrigierte' und 'wahre' Geschichte sowie ausserliterarisch erfahrbare Topografien werden vorausgesetzt. Die Arbeit betrachtet, wie Prosatexte auf (meta)sprachlicher Ebene die Ukraine konzipieren - wie sie an der Writing Culture partizipieren und wie sie dafur das Konzept der Ethnografie, der Vertextlichung erlebter Raume, einsetzen. Sie geht auf diese Weise dem 'ethnografischen' - Kultur beobachtenden und erschreibenden - Moment von Literatur nach, um eine theoretische und an komparatistischen Beispielanalysen ausgefuhrte Alternative zur postkolonialen Politisierung anzubieten. Vor der Folie des nationalen Diskurses stehen heterogene Reprasentationen verschiedener Regionen und Stadte der Ukraine im Vordergrund.
About the Author: Tatjana Hofmann ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Slavischen Seminar der Universtitat Zurich. Sie hat an der Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin Ethnologie, Slavistik und Germanistik studiert, 2012 promovierte sie an der Universtitat Zurich mit der vorliegenden Arbeit. Sie setzt sich mit der ostslavischen Kultur und Literatur der Moderne und Postmoderne auseinander, publiziert und ubersetzt
