About the Author: David L. Mayor, MD, MPH, FACEP, has served in the medical profession since 1981 as an emergency physician, occupational medicine physician, and a health educator. In 1976 he married Judy and they raised three boys, and now enjoy grandchildren. With his family, he has gone on multiple medical mission trips to underserved areas around the world. Together with his father, he served as the medical director of a number of large groups consisting of up to forty five thousand people.
A devoted Christian, husband, dad and grandpa, Dr. Mayor enjoyed supporting Judy as she home schooled the boys during the first nine years of their formal education. Judy has supported Dr. Mayor as he led a weekly Bible lecture at the Hinsdale Community House since 1990. They both encourage each other to actively pursues a healthy lifestyle both spiritually and physically-studying the Bible and exercising daily, following the plant-based diet, abstaining from alcohol and smoking. They enjoy any opportunity to spend time with their family. They have fun hiking, traveling, and skiing with family and friends.
