About the Author
Kelsey Mercer Grant is not only the heroine but also the pen name assumed by the writers. This is our first collaboration together. Initially, we intended to produce a screenplay since this story deserves to be viewed as a major motion picture, but as we got further along, we realized it should be presented as a novel first.
The List was inspired by the unbelievable behavior surrounding a Pre-Debutante Cotillion, a formal dance that has occurred for the past few decades in a well known city in the South. Beginning their freshman year, students from elite private schools are invited to attend, and some conniving girls have learned how to control the narrative and the rules. To make light of the actual list and drama resulting from it, a group of us imagined how much worse it could be, and this book came to life.
We will not make our real names known for many years to come. To the select few who figure out who we are, please do not share our names with anyone. You will understand why we desire to remain anonymous once you read this novel inspired by real-life events.
