A volte, quando si inizia a leggere un libro, il lettore non vede l'ora di terminarlo. Al contrario, molti si sono innamorati de "L'ispettore Bibula e l'arcano metropolitano" e hanno dovuto "centellinarlo" perché non finisse mai, come si farebbe con un piatto fumante e ben cucinato di bucatini all'amatriciana, mangiando uno spaghetto alla volta perché duri di più! Molti ci hanno chiesto il seguito del romanzo e abbiamo così deciso di riproporre la squadra vincente del primo volume. L'ispettore Paolo Bibula si trova ancora al commissariato in Via Castruccio Castracane (anche se il cognome corretto sarebbe "Castracani") a Roma, ma ha acquistato una profondità maturata nell'incontro coi fantasmi del suo passato. Adesso non è più solo l'ispettore "casinaro" o lo "Sherlock" dall'aspetto logico ma inopportuno, dotato di capacità preternaturali che, al momento del bisogno, si manifestano per risolvere le situazioni più insidiose. Ora è anche il "Bibula-Majorana", riemerso dai calcinacci del tempo con tutta la potenza di fuoco del suo estro ineguagliabile. L'agente Umberto Pisciotta continua a collaborare con lui, facendo un attento esame delle richieste pervenute in ufficio, e si conferma un assistente fidato, dalle trovate ingegnose, anche se, talvolta, poco ortodosse. Prosegue, intanto, la ricerca a tutto campo della misteriosa "tomba biposto" di Bellezza Orsini e del suo amato, per poter riabilitare la donna dall'infamante triplice accusa di stregoneria, omicidio e suicidio. Il demone etrusco Tuculca, forse una dimensione tenebrosa dello stesso Bibula, si affaccia più volte nelle pagine del nuovo volume, creando problemi mortali, ma rimanendo, alla fine, sempre "scornato" e "sgonfiato". La piccola Isabella è geniale come sempre, molto sagace, dalle intuizioni spiazzanti e risolutrici, e con la pantera nera, suo animale totem, pronta ad intervenire a necessità. Sua madre, la dottoressa Marianna Moraci, profonda conoscitrice delle piante psicotrope e, in generale, delle tecniche per raggiungere gli stati alterati di coscienza, farà molti strani incontri con personaggi inquietanti, ma li aiuterà ad arrivare a un passo dalla "Luce". Padre Riccardo e Padre Atanasio, simili a cavalieri Jedi, si richiamano e si distinguono al contempo, in un gioco di somiglianze e contrapposizioni. Vulcana troverà finalmente un uomo degno di lei, Bogdan, superstite di un'antica progenie rumena capace di viaggiare fuori dal corpo. Marta Lancellotti, direttrice di una fondazione gemellata con Harvard, si innamora di Paolo ed è da lui ricambiata. Elementi della massoneria deviata sono in agguato, minacciosi, ma molti si volgeranno, inaspettatamente, al pentimento. Luoghi del Lazio e dell'Umbria poco noti, Siena e dintorni alternativi faranno da sfondo a nuove e incredibili avventure. I cattivi si serviranno di droni sempre più tecnologici e pericolosi, in un crescendo di colpi di scena e con l'intervento di suggestivi personaggi. Non c'è modo di annoiarsi e, secondo i "Grimaldi Brothers", questo volume avrà un successo maggiore del precedente! Si tratta di un testo che dapprima susciterà l'esigenza di un'avida lettura, quindi la necessità di rallentare per gustarselo fino in fondo e, una volta completato, non si resisterà davvero ad una seconda lettura!
