Seminar paper de l'année 2013 dans le domaine Français - Litérature, OEuvres, note: 2,0, cours: Littérature et démocratie, langue: Français, résumé Purge est un roman autofictionnel de l'écrivaine finno-estonienne Sofi Oksanen paru en 2008 en Finlande et un an après sa traduction français. Dans ce roman c'est l'Estonie, son identité, l'identité des Estoniens, qui est le point central. Les chapitres ne sont pas en ordre chronologique. Souvent les événements ont lieu dans les années 1991 et 1992 ou dans le passé entre les années 1930 et le début des années 1950. Le destin d'Estonie est marqué par une domination étrangère qui alterne entre l'ordre de chevaliers allemands, des Suédois et des Russes. Entre 1920 et 1940 l'Estonie devint pour la première fois indépendante jusqu'au moment où elle est occupée par les Russes en 1941. Pendant ce temps beaucoup d'Estoniens furent déportés en Sibérie, d'autres s'enfuirent en Finlande. En 1941, suivi la campagne allemande menée contre la Russie, à laquelle se joignirent les Estoniens pour combattre les Russes. En 1944 les Russes revinrent et l'Estonie devint de nouveau une partie de la république soviétique. Après que l'Estonie fut devenue enfin indépendante, beaucoup d'Estoniens durent surmonter leur passé, supprimer leurs cicatrices, avant de s'adapter au futur. Comment l'écrivaine expose-t-elle au lecteur une mémoire profonde et refoulée ? Comment inclut-elle dans la suite du roman la corrélation entre le destin des personnages centraux et celui de l'histoire estonienne ? En effet, le fait d'assumer son passé est omniprésent dans l'oeuvre, mais cela ne se passe pas ou pas seulement à travers une opposition passé-présent. Le suivant on répondra aux questions posées en commençant à parler par la duplicité de l'histoire, c'est-à-dire l'altération de grande histoire et de petite histoire, le changement de perspectives et le rapprochement générationnel. Après on parlera du phénomène de la mouche ou de l'autre moi de l'histo
