About the Book

"A Lifetime of Poetry" is about struggles, pain, mistakes, falling in and out of love, fear that hinders the mind and loneliness is the best "one" can find. This poetry is pure, it comes from the heart and speaks from the mind. "A Lifetime of Poetry" what lives among a heart is a journey of pain Speaks!! And indeed it speaks nothing but the truth! This poetry reflects on a long mission of life and during this long mission, pain would not leave. "A Lifetime of Poetry", are words that speaks one's life, more than ones deepest thoughts and one's inner deepest affections. It speaks the underground and the underworld of the seen and unseen. This uniqueness of poetry are only for some minds and for some ears, ears that want to hear it, a mouth that wants to read it! Only eyes that want to see it! And only ones heart that wants to feel it. Many of us go through rough times and at times we struggle so rough, it hurts to cry. These words of poetry are for those people who live in this generation but most importantly for the open minded. Just to let all know," You are Not On Your Own."
About the Author: Author Kris Sogol was born on December 14th, 1986. Her birth place is Chicago, Illinois where Kris lived until the age of five, yet she was raised in California, where she still resides today. She is the second oldest of five kids. She was raised with only her mother. She never had a chance to know her father, he died when Kris was very young. Life started out real bad for Kris. At the age of nine a lot of emotions and feelings came rushing through her world, that's when Kris began to write but not knowing her writing would bring her to where she is today. At that age she had no idea her writing had any meaning, soon she found out her writing had a name and it was "(poetry)"... And just for her to know that, it's given Kris more of a reason to keep writing. Today Kris stands on this earth at the age of twenty-eight and she is proud to announce that poetry is her life! And a special word from Author Kris Sogol, "If the world could hear me out, I'd speak but my voice will not be heard because to me, my speaking is my writing. In my writing I hope to make a difference, to bring positive, to make a change, especially to those who want to make a change. Never did I think my words would bring me this far in life. I've learned the importance of life and in all honesty I can say to you is if you have a talent that is not often used, take a step and use it!"
