About the Book

"Who better to write a book about vintage wit and wisdom than the indomitable Danni Burton. This book itself is the outcome of an amazing journey by Danni...from conception, through challenges, to completion. I recommend setting aside time to relax in your favorite chair. Enjoy immersing yourself in the life experiences, and chuckling along with the amazing group of vintage people who have donated their stories to this book." -Liz Ainsworth, President of the Board, Milpitas Chamber of Commerce

"Master storyteller Danni Burton has lovingly gathered memories and life lessons from vintage people who might not see themselves as the mentors they are. In this delightful volume you will find insights, messages, and laughter that illuminate where we come from and the paths ahead. Reading these stories gives us a sense of the riches beneath the surface of everyday lives." -Lucy Freedman, Author, Smart Work: The Syntax Guide to Influence

"Danni, a masterful storyteller herself, shares the wit and wisdom of of these storytellers as they re-create life experiences that inspire, encourage and make you laugh! Enjoy and share with others." -Nora Monette

"There are people in this world whose conversations inspire fun, adventure, hope and purpose. So, when Danni shared her vision with me, I wanted to be part of helping these stories reach the people who need them most." -Quacy Superville, Marketing Communications Professional

"Danni has masterfully assembled a broad range of inspiring stories that everyone can benefit from reading. I am incredibly honored to be part of capturing these stories with Danni. A must read!"-Mark Sheperd, Film & Television Producer
About the Author: Danni grew up in a Scottish Canadian family of storytellers, and was intrigued by history and stories from around the world. So, after college she began an adventure living in five countries, visiting many others, and gaining knowledge, skills, and a deep respect for different cultures. She returned to California, worked for fifteen years in HR, as a recruiter, trainer, and manager. She became a certified graphologist, which enhanced her understanding of the uniqueness and diversity of people. And, then it was time to begin her own consulting business as a speaker, trainer, and mentor. She had a foot in two worlds: business and education. She was a visiting professor in colleges and universities, and she enjoyed working with businesses. Her seminars have been presented to hundreds of multi-generational and multi-cultural audiences in corporate meeting rooms, college classrooms, and large auditoriums. During these thirty years she achieved certifications in International Career Coaching, NLP Master Training and Master in Advanced Language Skills. Today Danni's work is Business Theatre, the art of educating, inspiring, and entertaining. Through her Speak Easy Events her clients enhance their skills with stories, humor, metaphors and improv. And, yes, she is the vintage Scottish storyteller!
