Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Hispanistik, Note: 1,3, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Warum Männer nicht zuhören und Frauen schlecht einparken". "Männer sind vom Mars, Frauen von der Venus". Solche "pseudo-wissenschaftliche Schriften" erreichen in der heutigen Gesellschaft problemlos in den Bestsellerlisten. Meine Absicht ist es nicht, diese Bücher in irgendeiner Weise zu analysieren. Ihre Erwähnung in dieser Einleitung zeigt lediglich, dass Männer und Frauen anders denken. Dies scheint zumindest die herrschende Meinung der westlichen Welt zu sein. In dieser Arbeit befasse ich mich mit der Frage, ob die Liebe und die Sexualität im Spanien des 17. Jahrhunderts von einer Frau anders wahrgenommen wird, als von einem Mann. Um diese Frage beantworten zu können, stütze ich mich auf einen Vergleich zwischen zwei Autoren aus dieser Epoche. Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra bedarf es keiner großen Vorstellung mehr. Durch seinen Roman el ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha erreichte er die Unsterblichkeit. Sein Name ist heute noch synonym für Kultur und Literatur. In aller Welt stehen die Cervantes-Institute für die Verbreitung der spanischen Kultur. Sein Porträt schmückt die spanischen 10-, 20- und 50-Eurocent-Münzen. Die größte Online-Bibliothek über die spanische Literatur trägt ebenfalls seinen Namen. Der Don Quijote ist allerdings nicht das einzige von ihm verfasste Werk. Das Thema dieser Arbeit ist zum Teil seine etwas weniger bekannte Novellensammlung, die 1613 erschien: die novelas ejemplares. In 12 Kurzgeschichten, die meistens die Liebe thematisieren, portraitiert er mit viel Ironie die Gesellschaft seiner Zeit. Obwohl der Titel schon darauf hinweist, dass diese Geschichten 'exemplarisch' seien (und dementsprechend eine gewisse Moralvorstellung verteidigen), vertritt diese Arbeit die These, dass Cervantes Strategien anwendet, um als unmoralisch geltende Aspekte der Gesellschaft darzustellen, vor al
