El Libro de los Jubileos es una de las más importantes obras pseudoepigráficas del Antiguo Testamento. Este libro recibe otros nombres como: Pequeño Génesis, Apocalipsis de Moisés, El Libro de las Hijas de Adán, y Manuscrito de la Distribución de los Días de la Ley.

Este libro es un texto religioso de origen hebreo, y en los Manuscritos hallados en el Mar Muerto se han encontrado 14 fragmentos de copias de este libro. Es considerado canónico para la comunidad judía Beta Israel y para la Iglesia Ortodoxa Etíope, y es considerado apócrifo para la iglesia protestante, la ortodoxa y la católica.

Teniendo en cuenta su título, tiene como objetivo presentar y defender el calendario antiguo, diferente al adoptado posteriormente por el judaísmo oficial. Este escrito se presenta como una revelación escrita por orden divina a Moisés en el Monte Sinaí.

El Libro de los Jubileos expone de manera maravillosa la creación del mundo, cómo fueron establecidas las medidas del tiempo y espacio, y enseña detalles de gran valor considerando el génesis del ser humano.

Como por ejemplo, en el momento de la caída de Adán en el Edén, en el cual Dios cerró la boca de los animales para que no volvieran a hablar con el ser humano, pues antes hablaban con las personas normalmente. También enseña el nombre de la mujer que vino a ser la esposa de Caín. Y muchas otras cosas, muy interesantes.

El contenido del Libro de los Jubileos trata sobre los eventos narrados en el libro de Génesis inspirado por Dios, es decir, el Génesis canónico. Enriquece su narración con una gran cantidad de leyendas y tradiciones orales que se han transmitido en el transcurrir de los siglos en el pueblo judío.

Sus detalles, según el libro mismo, fueron revelados a Moisés mediante el ángel de la presencia, (quizá Miguel), junto con la Ley, y todo esto fue inicialmente conocido por algunos de los patriarcas del Antiguo Testamento, como Enoc, Noé, Abraham.

Respecto al Rollo de Cobre:

El rollo de cobre fue descubierto por un grupo de arqueólogos submarinos en el año 2016. El rollo había sido colocado en una cueva submarina cercana a Khirbet Qumrán, probablemente por los habitantes de la comunidad religiosa que vivían allí en tiempos remotos.

El rollo de cobre es una lámina de metal que mide alrededor de un metro de largo y 30 centímetros de ancho. Este rollo está cubierto con un texto escrito en hebreo.

Una de las características más interesantes del rollo de cobre es que es uno de los pocos manuscritos antiguos que no está hecho de pergamino o papiro. En cambio, está hecho de cobre, lo que lo convierte en un objeto único.
