About the Book

Everyone Thought the Mass Shooting was Over . . .

Rogan Sneed is spending life in prison for the mass shooting he committed at Pioneer Square in Portland, Oregon. The copycat shooter who attempted a similar attack on the anniversary of the event is dead. Time has passed. Wounds have healed.

But then, a blip on the screen.

A teenage girl is kidnapped in Portland. Her diary says there may still be someone out there who helped plan the original attack that killed 21 innocent people.

A local plumber is a person of interest in the girl's disappearance, but Portland PD Detective Wayne Deetz believes something much more catastrophic is simmering beneath the surface.

Close to retirement and still struggling to tame the demons of his anxiety, Deetz is forced to explore the chilling underworld to which he vowed he'd never return.

But when a daughter's life is at stake, vows are broken-and demons are crushed.

With tension on every page, Amazon #1 Best-Selling author Creston Mapes demonstrates why he is a "Top Pick" among mystery, fiction and thriller lovers.

Fans of DiAnn Mills, Terri Blackstock, Susan Sleeman, Alton Gansky, Karen Kingsbury, and Robin Patchen will love this thriller from award-winning and bestselling author Creston Mapes.

Reader Praise for Let My Daughter Go

★★★★★ WOW! I read this book in 3 hours! I could not put it down . . . I was delighted to see that the third in the series, I Pick You, is releasing tomorrow, and I have already pre-ordered it! Definitely adding Creston Mapes to my favorite authors list.

★★★★★ This is a riveting story that had my heart pounding & on the edge of my seat, turning page after page. I had a hard time finding a good stopping point so didn't do that much until I reached the end. This can be read as a stand-alone but it does reference the event from book 1 so reading the series from the start might make the series more enjoyable. Now I am anxious to read book 3.

★★★★★ I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. An older policeman hoping to retire in a year gets caught up in helping citizens that need him. When the cover says Christian fiction thriller, that is very true! This policeman has a special needs daughter and you will fall in love with her. She is so loving. If you are not a Christian I think you would still enjoy this book. Good characters and storyline. I recommend this book!

★★★★★ If you want to read a very intense and moving Christian work of fiction then this is the book for you.
Detective Deetz is working around the clock to find the kidnapped young woman. Things escalate when his own teenage daughter is also kidnapped. The whole PD has to act quickly to find the two kidnapped victims and to find the connection.
You won't be disappointed if you want to read a real to life crime story.

★★★★★ I picked this up on a whim while we were on vacation . . . I had no idea it was Christian fiction when I bought it. Nevertheless, it's a story that moves quickly and held my interest such that I finished it in a few hours. I then bought the rest of the books in the series. They are all enjoyable, and sometimes that's all I want, is to be entertained. This book will not challenge you intellectually, but it will give you an uplifting story.
