Julia Cassidy is a young woman with the world on her mind. The whole world. She is a student at a university in Boston, studying the environment and ecology. It is her dearest dream to find ways to repair the damage done to the planet by global warming and pollution, and she is on the right track.
She is about to graduate, and with the help of her professor, she has come up with groundbreaking technology that will clean up pollution in oceans all over the world. When she and her professor contact the global environmental group LEGACIES about her work, they invite her to speak at a symposium that the group is hosting in Costa Rica. It's the chance of a lifetime for her.
The only person to disagree with her and try to stop her is her boyfriend, Michael. He is dead set against her following her dreams. He believes that she should be his wife and the mother of his children, and desire nothing more.
Her greatest supporter is Luke Daniels, the handsome young professor who has led her for two years, and he wants nothing more than to see her succeed. Together, the two of them travel to San Jose, Costa Rica, where she will present her work to the global scientific community. The world is seemingly at her feet.
That is, until the bag she has brought with her containing all of her work for the presentation is picked up by another woman at the airport in San Jose. The bags are identical, and when Julia and Luke realize that they have the wrong bag, it's a race against time as they try to catch up with the older woman who has their bag, and all of Julia's hard work for her presentation at the symposium.
Anything that can go wrong does, as Julia and Luke find themselves on a wild adventure through the mountains, jungles, and beachside towns of an exotic foreign country where they set out to find a bag, and along the way, find the heated fires of romance, passion, and desire.
Both of them are faced with life altering decisions that not only affect themselves, but each other and their futures as everything hangs in the balance between a little tan leather bag, and the love of a lifetime.
