Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Sprachwissenschaft / Sprachforschung (fachübergreifend), Note: 1.0, Universität Hildesheim (Stiftung), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Warum sollen auch Fünftklässler noch im Lesen gefördert werden? Ist ihre Lesekompetenz nicht schon komplett entwickelt? Kann Schülern in dem Alter überhaupt noch geholfen werden, lohnt sich der Aufwand? Wie kann die Lesekompetenz von Fünftklässlern eigentlich festgestellt werden? Auf Fragen dieser Art bin ich oft gestoßen, als ich das Thema meiner Hausarbeit ´Aspekte von Lesediagnostik und -förderung am Beispiel von Fünftklässlern` bei Freunden und Bekannten erwähnte. Um die Wichtigkeit und Bedeutung sowohl einer Lesediagnose als auch einer Leseförderung gerade bei und für Fünftklässler(n) herauszustellen, gehe ich zu Beginn der Arbeit auf die gesellschaftliche Rolle des Lesens ein. Des Weiteren gebe ich einen kurzen Sachstandsbericht über die aktuelle Situation in Deutschland primär bezogen auf das Lesen und nenne mögliche Lesebarrieren und Lesesozialisationsinstanzen. In dem Hauptpart des theoretischen Teils meiner Arbeit lege ich Gründe für eine Notwendigkeit, eventuell auftretende Schwierigkeiten und ausgewählte Exempel sowohl einer Lesediagnose als auch einer Leseförderung - insbesondere bei Fünftklässlern - dar. In dem zweiten Teil meiner Hausarbeit stelle ich einen Praxisbezug her. In einer hannoverschen Gesamtschule diag-nostizierten eine Kommilitonin und ich die Lesekompetenz aller Schüler des fünften Jahrgangs. Im Anschluss daran förderten wir ausgewählte leseschwache Fünftklässler in Kleingruppen und überprüften den Erfolg unserer Förderarbeit durch einen zweiten Lesediagnosetest. Zum Abschluss meiner Hausarbeit setze ich mich kritisch mit dem Thema und den eigenen praktischen Erfahrungen auseinander und gebe einen Ausblick auf alternative Lösungsansätze.
