Pourtant, aucun expert sérieux ne dirait que la plupart de ces échecs n'ont pas les mains de forces étrangères qui cherchent à protéger leurs soi-disant intérêts sur le continent ou qui veulent en acquérir de nouveaux. C'est vrai que ces forces extérieures aient à peu près réussi avec l'aide des Africains avec la mauvaise disposition du mal ou des Africains ignorants de leur plan de match.

Opposés à cette exploitation étrangère et à cette domination par l'utilisation de dictateurs de marionnettes Africains, sont les panafricanistes, les nationalistes-civiques d'Afrique, autrement appelés Union-Nationaliste. Ils sont devenus proéminents pendant l'ère coloniale avec leurs mouvements de libération pour libérer l'Afrique de la domination coloniale. Leur succès, est discutable. Aujourd'hui, le néocolonialisme domine le continent. Des marionnettes de puissances étrangères sont au pouvoir dans la plupart des pays Africains, et la vision de l'Union Africaine avant l'indépendance n'a pas été réalisée.
