Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Lernpsychologie, Intelligenzforschung, Note: 1,0, Pädagogische Hochschule Weingarten, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mit dem Begriff "Problemlösen" wird der Prozess bezeichnet, der abläuft, wenn ein Mensch (oder Tier) den Zustand, in dem er sich befindet als unbefriedigend erlebt. Er hat zunächst keine Mittel zur Verfügung, diesen Zustand zu ändern und gelangt deshalb durch selbstständiges Handeln zu dem gewünschten Endzustand. Problemlösen setzt einen Prozess der aktiven Informationsaufnahme und Informationsverarbeitung (z.B. neue Kombinationen von Erfahrungen und/oder Überlegungen) bei der Bewältigung eines Problems voraus. In pädagogisch-psychologischen Kreisen wird schon lange davon ausgegangen, dass problemlösendes Lernen gegenüber dem rezeptiven Lernen sinnvoller ist, da die allgemeine kognitive Entwicklung, die Lernmotivation, die Behaltensleistungen und die Eigenkompetenz der Lernenden stärker geschult werden.1 In Jahrzehnte langer Forschung wurde deutlich, dass problemlösendes Verhalten im Unterricht von "der Ermöglichung selbstständig entdeckenden Lernens über ein gelenkt entdeckendes Lernenlassen bis zu einem übernehmend-einsichtsvollen Lernenlassen"2 reicht. Es wurde davon ausgegangen, dass die Lernenden sich beim entdeckenden Lernen Prozesse und Strategien des Problemlösens aneignen. Dadurch lernen sie weitgehend unabhängig von der Bestätigung oder Führung durch den Lehrer. Ihre intrinsische Motivation steigt dadurch, dass sie selbst es sind, die die Lösung des Problems erreichen. Sie erfahren ihre eigene Wirksamkeit. Das übernehmend-einsichtsvolle Lernen verschmilzt weitgehend neue Inhalte mit schon vorhandenem Wissen. Im Unterschied dazu stehen beim gelenkt entdeckenden Lernen die selbstständigen Überlegungen zum Lösen eines Problems und das Entdecken neuer Zusammenhänge und Prinzipien im Vordergrund.
