Kreative und innovative Lernformen sind gefragt; mechanische Fertigkeiten weichen sog. Skills. "Dieser Veränderungsprozess lässt sich als Weg von einer funktions- und berufsbezogenen hin zu einer prozessorientierten Betriebs- und Arbeitsorganisation charakterisieren." (Schiersmann/Remmele 2002, Neue Lernarrangements in Betrieben: S. 5). Eine Entgrenzung und Pluralität betrieblicher Lernkonzepte und Lernformen zieht die Gestaltung neuer Lernformen bzw. deren Kombination und Verwendung mit sich. Prof. Dr. P. Dehnbostel (Anm. Verf.: Hochschullehrer am Institut für Berufsbildung, Weiterbildung und Telematik der Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg) unterscheidet sechs Lernformen: "Unterweisung/ Coaching, Qualitätszirkel, Lernstatt, Lerninseln, Auftragslernen und Communities of Practice (CoP). Diese Lernformen stellen einen Typus betrieblichen Lernens dar, der als symptomatisch für moderne Arbeitsprozesse gelten kann: Arbeitsplätze und Arbeitsprozesse werden unter lernsystematischen und arbeitspädagogischen Gesichtspunkten erweitert und angereichert.
