Questo libro è eretico. Talmente eretico che non avrei dovuto pubblicarlo. Non è inopportuno di per sé, credo invero che riesca a comunicare alcune idee originali e degne di essere condivise. Indubbiamente devo ammettere che questo libro non è politicamente corretto: è blasfemo.

  • È blasfemo per chi si occupa di marketing: contiene appunto idee mai sperimentate prima, consapevolmente, in questo settore.
  • È blasfemo per chi si occupa di scienza (più precisamente di scientismo, approfondiremo dopo il perché): in quanto avvicina concetti spirituali ed esoterici a questa.
  • È blasfemo per chi si occupa di spiritualità perché queste cose materiali, secondo i più bigotti, non dovrebbero mischiarsi con le cose divine.
Il libro è diviso in cinque parti:

Parte prima: Prologo.
Oltre all'introduzione, questa prima parte contiene le premesse storiche, filosofiche, economiche e culturali dalle quali faccio emergere la necessità di un rallentamento e di un cambiamento. Non dobbiamo tornare alla normalità, la normalità era il problema, non abbiamo bisogno della normalità.

Parte seconda: Elogio dell'Essenziale.
In questa seconda parte elaboro le idee introdotte nella prima parte cercando di raffinarle eliminando tutto ciò che non è essenziale. Qui è presentata l'Idea dello "Slow Marketing" o "Marketing Minimalista" che inizialmente doveva essere l'argomento fondamentale del libro.

Parte terza: Azione.
Una volta definito cosa non è essenziale, è necessario iniziare a fare pulizia, eliminando ciò che non serve. Nella terza parte dedicata all'azione saranno definiti i parametri e le metodologie da seguire per scegliere cosa può essere rimosso in quanto non necessario.
Alla fine di questa parte si rompe lo schema anticipando le teorie, le idee e i concetti eretici.

Parte quarta: Elogio dell'Impossibile.
Sarebbe impossibile riassumere l'impossibile. In questa parte parlerò, partendo dal concetto di priming e manipolazione nel marketing, di come energie intangibili, ma non per questo meno reali, possono renderci le cose più facili (o difficili a seconda del punto di vista) nel marketing così come nella vita.

Parte quinta: Epilogo.
In quest'ultima parte concludo e cerco di chiudere il libro con idee e opinioni non necessariamente collegati e non necessariamente scollegati dal cuore della "narrazione" principale.
