Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: In vielen Märkten ist es üblich, mehrere Produkte oder Dienstleistungen gebündelt zu verkaufen. Im Mobilfunksektor bekommt man als Neukunde zum Mobiltelefon einen kostenlosen DVD-Player und Sprachguthaben, Autos werden mit Schiebedach, Winterreifen und Radios verkauft. Computerkäufer erwerben einen Tower mit Festplatte und CD-ROM-Laufwerk, Grafikkarte und Softwareschulung, und im Lebensmittelmarkt erhält man Erfrischungsgetränke im Sechserpack. Die Begriffe für diese Bündel sind vielfältig. Letztendlich basieren Sammelboxen, Mehrfach- und Familienpackungen, Sondermodelle, Abonnements oder Systemlösungen usw. auf demselben Prinzip, dem sog. Bundling. Darunter versteht man das Angebot von Produkten bzw. Dienstleistungen im Paket. Oft handelt es sich dabei um sog. Leistungsbündel. Ein Leistungsbündel ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Kombination von Sachgütern, Dienstleistungen, Informationen und Rechten sein kann. Genau genommen ist aber (fast) jedes Produkt bzw. jede Dienstleistung ein solches mehrdimensionales oder multiattributives Leistungsbündel, da es aus mehreren bedürfnisbefriedigenden Eigenschaften besteht. Deshalb werden einige Aussagen, die ursprünglich auf Einzelprodukte bezogen waren, im Verlauf dieser Arbeit analog auf Leistungsbündel übertragen. Alle Ausführungen zu Produkten gelten auch für Dienstleistungen und Leistungsbündel; der Einfachheit halber wird meist nur von Produkten oder Leistungen gesprochen. Auch in der Hotellerie und Gastronomie begegnet man Leistungsbündeln. In so gut wie jedem Hotel werden Wochenend-Packages, Halbpensionen, Menüs, Arrangements, Seminarpauschalen, All Inclusive Angebote oder ähnliches offeriert. Deshalb wird die Relevanz und Bedeutung von Bundling für die Hotellerie in vorliegender Arbeit näher betrachtet.
