Montessoris "Lehrerin" als Chance für die inklusive Beschulung von SchülerInnen mit Verhaltensstörungen. Die italienische Ärztin und Pädagogin Maria Montessori (1870-1952) zählt international zu den bedeutendsten VertreterInnen der reformpädagogischen Bewegung, die sich zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts einer "Pädagogik vom Kinde aus" verschrieben hat. An autoritären Ansichten Kritik übend, wird hier von Strafen und unnötigem Eingreifen des Erwachsenen abgesehen, um dem Kind ein "Wachsen lassen" zu gewähren. Inwiefern "die Lehrerin" als Autorität nach Montessoris Vorstellungen den Anforderungen einer pädagogischen Führung genügt und wie förderlich ihre Haltung für die Integration verhaltensauffälliger SchülerInnen ist, soll untersucht werden. Welche Chancen ergeben sich dadurch für verhaltensauffällige SchülerInnen an Montessori-Schulen? Jedes Kind ist anders. So einfach diese Aussage auch klingen mag: dieser Verschiedenheit in einer großen, heterogenen Gruppe gerecht zu werden, stellt vor allem Lehrerinnen vor eine schwierige Herausforderung. Eine gemeinsame Beschulung, unabhängig von der jeweils individuellen Ausgangslage, ist ein zentraler Gedanke inklusiver Schulpädagogik und verlangt ein pädagogisches Handeln, das an dieser Individualität ausgerichtet ist. Doch was ist, wenn das Kind der schulischen Situation scheinbar nicht gewachsen ist und ein Verhalten an den Tag legt, das so gar nicht in das Unterrichtsgeschehen passt? Wenn Verhaltensstörungen in der Schule offenbart werden, sind vor allem die LehrerInnen betroffen und gefragt, sich intensiv mit der Problematik auseinanderzusetzen.
