About the Book

We live in a universe that is seeing mankind evolve from the Fear-driven Homo sapiens into the Love-driven Homo spiritus. Marvelous changes are rippling through society and will affect you greatly. You can become truly Great! Your Destiny is that you become as Great as you can be in those areas where you can contribute to the betterment of mankind, as well as of the universe and this beautiful blue planet that gives us life. Unfortunately those who are in positions of power, and those with riches, live in the many states of Fear and do not trust the Great, so there are many roadblocks in place to hold you back. That makes becoming Great a bit more difficult, but it is still your Destiny. Learning to become Great is somewhat similar to most learning but we must find ways to find and train under teachers who share our desires and are current in the new ways of learning, teaching and guiding their students to develop into more that they could previously have become. This changed landscape includes a realization that we are spiritual beings having a human experience and that we can be much more than we have dreamed that we can be, until quite recently. Acting on the new understanding requires that we access our entire being and understand the limits of our conscious mind and how much more powerful our subconscious mind is, including our ego and all of its protection actions. Those egos do not serve those who would push the limits of what humans can do. Therefore we must learn how to transcend the ego (not fight it), come to grips with the difference between what we are told about our limits and what is True, and use all available tools to go beyond these false, belief-limited barriers towards what is really possible. We will have to learn much about the latest understanding of the processes of learning and the need to get our minds out of the way once a skill is properly learned. We will also have to become more devoted to repetition, which is a true requirement of getting our new skill moved from the conscious mind into the more powerful and faster subconscious mind. Only then can we can break down the barriers that were never really there. A better understanding of the real reason for repetition may make that process much more acceptable, however, than some coach telling us to do it because they told us to do so. This is the introductory book in a series entitled "Becoming Great" where more field-specific lessons will be presented.
About the Author: The author writes as Jesuis Laplume on matters of Science and the spirituality part of Philosophy. I was trained as a scientist in an Engineering faculty, graduating with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics (Aeronautical Option) and, after an apprenticeship in the aircraft field, I moved into spacecraft component and system design and development. My science training was short on specifics and thorough on Science and Mathematics. It was also well suited, however, to helping move new Science into new practice, as well as helping determine the right questions to ask in any field of endeavor. After retirement I began studying what was going on at the leading edge of most Science fields and learned a lot from over a decade of the studies of the local group, 'The Forum on Faith and Science.' I read widely on both the history of Science and the various fields of 'The New Spirituality, ' where some branches tried to redevelop the initial messages of the old Religions and the new understandings of what pure information, thought, emotion and prayer / meditation could tell us about ourselves and our universe. I am developing a website at http: //www.jesuislaplume.com and have a large number of books and eBooks both written and under consideration, as well as a Newsletter and set of Blog posts. Suggestions as to what readers would like to see next are welcomed. My primary purpose is to present the limitations of what we know and help readers better understand the questions that they should be asking about who they really are and why they are here having this journey as a human being. There is a great deal of misinformation about, most of which is Fear-based rather than Love-based. Love is the way we must go if we are to survive as a species. Love is also very much more powerful than Fear, so it is a great tool to use if we would become Great. For more see the above websit
