Ninety percent of a child's brain develops before the age of five. Sensory development is a critical aspect of your child's learning. What the world has to offer is at their fingertips! As your child's first teacher, I encourage you to provide daily opportunities for your child to learn about and from their 5 Senses simply by using them. Children learn with each experience; using all senses to take in new information to connect with their past learning for a deeper level of understanding.
Learning is multi-sensory. Bun Bun will support parents to ignite their child's love to learn more about their home, community and our beautiful world, but mostly about themselves. During these formative years, your child is beginning to develop their personal likes and dislikes by way of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching. You may also notice a dominance in your child's learning style(s): visual, auditory, kinesthetic or a combination.
From birth, children are active learners. Involve your child in daily experiences and always talk with them to strengthen and evolve their vocabulary and language. These interactions will help them connect all of the sensory information they are submerged in each day. Begin their multi-sensory exploration with this wonderful book, Learning 5 Senses with Bun Bun and let the fun begin!
