About the Book

By the time we reach adulthood, most of us know what brings happiness and fulfillment into our lives-what makes our hearts sing. Yet we struggle to make our dreams into reality, and our struggles cause sadness and frustration. In 2003, psychotherapist Steven Keeler began a self-imposed experiment to prove that our beliefs, which we can learn to control, are the single biggest influence on the reality we create for ourselves. But fear-based beliefs keep us trapped by the idea of scarcity-that within our vast universe there aren't enough resources to go around. Steven moved to the Big Island in Hawaii and decided to simply trust his powerful connection to "all-that-is" and choose abundance over scarcity. He dared to believe that he could literally sit on the beach in paradise and not work, yet have a more abundant life than he ever dreamed possible. Through disappointing setbacks and glorious victories, Steven allowed his dreams to come into reality. Leap, But How Will I Live, Eat, or Pay for Gas? tells of his incredible journey.
About the Author: International psychotherapist, consultant, author, and grad school prof, Steven M. Keeler is an expert in human potential and transformational change. His successful private practice, A Better Life through Therapy and Healing, has helped thousands of people and multiple organizations around the world, including more than 23 different military assignments. Steven has been recognized internationally for his work and even received a civilian medal for his contributions to the U.S. military. Steven draws on both scientific and universal principles as well as the Human Validation Process Model of Virginia Satir (considered a pioneer in the world of psychotherapy) to deliver practical tools and techniques that empower people to transform their lives from the inside out. In his spiritual, educational, and personal quest for growth, Steven has studied with Buddhist monks, Native American medicine people (Sioux, Maidu, and Athabascan), a traditional Mexican folk healer (Curandero), Catholic priests, a Hawaiian kupuna (elder), and shamans from other cultures. He is currently studying interpersonal neuro-psycho physiology through the UCLA School of Medicine. Steven's passions include stock car racing (won a championship in 2006), swimming with dolphins and humpback whales, gardening, extreme sledding, fly fishing, and his new love, pickleball.
