A nameless man who loses his will to live, walks to the center of a bridge, and with a relieved sigh, he leaps to end his suffering. And it does, but not by death. Sandy, who witnessed the attempted suicide, becomes curious about the poor wretched soul that she has helped to pull from the water. She visits him in the hospital and finds he has amnesia.
