About the Book

Originally published in 1999 - lean-ISD presents the PACT Processes' collaborative approaches to performance-based training and development. PACT is more than just another method for producing training and development. The PACT Processes systematically integrate the entire ISD life cycle. Discover how to use the PACT Processes and their tools and templates to facilitate project planning and management in a collaborative effort of both the ISD supplier and ISD customer. lean-ISD is a comprehensive guide infused with practical advice and examples for corporate training and development. PACT Analysis--Peformance modeling and knowledge/skill derivation forms the performance-oriented foundation of CAD, MCD, and IAD. CAD--A gated, systems engineering approach to the analysis and design of the performance-based training and development product line. MCD--A gated, product development process using a modular platform design for producing traditional and nontraditional ISD. IAD--A gated, T&D product component development process, enabling development of instructional activities such as performance aids, performance tests, simulation exercises, and more.
