About the Book

Jesus saves is the focus of Leakage. William shares the story of God's revelation of this message through three fifteen year periods of his life.Leakage shows the necessity of a relationship with Christ and the peace that is available through a fellowship with Him.A Christ centered weight loss program (Losing weight and Gaining Faith)makes up the second part. You will learn to depend on God's power not your willpower.Leakage concludes with a selection of William's thoughts, writings, and poetry. Leakage is truly one of those books that will make you laugh and cry; Sometimes all at once.Following is a cross section of reviews from Leakage readers. Mr. Layne, I want to say sorry and thank you. Sorry for taking so long to read Leakage. Sorry to you and for myself. But on my way to my grandmothers for Thanksgiving I read it cover to cover. And I'm thankful I did. Thank you for sharing your story. From the few talks we've had and the way Rachel speaks of you I knew you were a God filled man. Reading Leakage further solidified that belief. God truly has blessed you with many gifts. Some of which shone through in your book. You have a way of making people coming in contact with you and readers feel comfortable. Reading your book felt like a good talk with an old friend. Your stories were relatable, entertaining, and full of wisdom. I though your diet plan was really cool. We're told to lift our troubles up to God why not our weight problems? I really appreciated that you focused on giving God the glory through it all. It's not MY accomplishment it's His.I loved the first two parts of Leakage but the third was by far my favorite. Ramblings seemed like something that could have come straight from my head and your poems were absolutely beautiful. You have a distinct voice that is just so real. You're a genuinely good person who cares about people and that's very obvious throughout Leakage. I read your last three poems (The Cycle, The Apple, and Jesus and me on Galilee)multiple times because they were just so full of love. Love for your kids, your wife, and God. You truly have been blessed with amazing talent. I know Leakage has brought much truth and hope in my life and I can only imagine what it has done for others. Sydney. Mr. Layne, You don't know me. I am Cindy McGallian. Brandon sent your book out to us yesterday. I read all of it except for the last 15 pages last night. WOW! You have no idea how it has touched me. When I opened it the first words I saw were; Truth is freedom. Yet there is fear in freedom. Perfect love cast out fear. Just a couple of hours before I had prayed and discussed my fear about a couple of things an Walla here came Leakage. I started reading it and I couldn't put it down or read it fast enough. Thank you for realizing the power of the written word and for the momma God blessed you with! Loved the dog/gasoline story. I laughed out loud and I really needed that. There isn't a person alive that doesn't need to read your story so much love was poured into it that it spills off the pages. Love for God and man. Please tell me where I can purchase more copies. So many people I know would be blessed by Leakage. Your writing/story telling style is wonderful and it made me happy, sad, thankful, and awestruck all at the same time. The Apple was awesome. God Bless. Being a teenage bookworm with few friends I've read hundreds of books in my short lifetime. Only a handful have been as engaging as Leakage. This is a delightfully funny book that pushes the reader to honestly look at themselves. It makes you want to better yourself for the joy of being better not better than others. William presents Christianity in a relatable, appealing way that can make even the most devout agnostic rethink their choices. William's story will make you want to laugh, cry, and do and awful combination of both. Overall, this is an amazing read and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a little faith. Love you William
About the Author: William Layne spent his childhood years in the West Texas "Shinnery" (A short forest, mostly scrub oak, mesquite trees, briers, and prickly pear cactus)near Anson Texas. He graduated from Hawley High along with 21 other eager to change the world 18 year olds in 1977 and spent the next 15 years searching for truth and meaning everywhere except where he should have been. In 1990 he found that truth and meaning in Jesus Christ and began preaching, teaching, and writing with the desire to bring others to that truth and meaning
