About the Book

Leadership in Motion takes the reader through the nuances of leadership in the Protestant Christian Church, and addresses the issues and the vision of leaders that are not stuck in denominationalism or religiosity. Among the many reformation movements the church has experienced, the church is presently in an apostolic and prophetic age, and many called into ministry have yet to understand the function and the divine plan of God for apostles in this dispensation and why apostles are needed. The author brings to light many of the issues facing the church, as the mantle of leadership is being passed from one generation to the next. As the momentum of the supernatural grows in strength and vigor, many who are graced with spiritual gifts are operating their gifts without the knowledge of the ways of God and the corresponding wisdom and understanding of who God is. Mentorship is vital for every young minister, for there are some things that cannot be learned in theory but by experience. In the pages of this book the reader will learn about the call to leadership, the qualifications of leadership, the heart of the leader, the purpose of the call, the assignment of leaders, their jurisdiction and authority; leadership character, apostolic definition, and the principles of the Harvest. The book captures the reasons for the failure of many in leadership and why this season demands fervent prayer, knowledge of the will of God, preparation and planning. Leadership in Motion helps leaders to examine and define their calling by examining the divine call of men that the Bible uses as examples; their strengths, weaknesses, their discipline, faithfulness to God, and the estrangement of many of those leaders who disobeyed the commandments, and laws of God. The author also examines leadership styles, the personalities of leaders and the impact on the church, the need for counselling, self-examination, faith, wisdom and truth. To summarize the purpose of the book the author equivocally stresses the need for order as a vital requisite in a reproductive church. A leader's vision is wrapped around purpose; the leader's intellect, foresight and perception is key to the unfolding of what is invisible, and housed in the imagination and thought-life of the individual and can only manifest in the continuum of time through planning and deliberate actions. The limitations of the visionary's environment are also examined and compared to the limitations of a womb that housed a baby that was born prematurely, taking into account that some dreams and visions may need more special attention than others in order for it to survive because of the antagonistic environment into which the vision was birthed. This book can be described as informative, insightful, truthful, and filled with much wisdom, present truth, and a must for a new generation of leaders. It is also a source of information to the old guard. It challenges the status quo of many churches that are void of a kingdom perspective and are stuck in manmade rules and philosophy of men that do not leave room for the Holy Spirit to make the required changes. Our chapter on leadership keys gives the leader clues as to what is expected, why leaders are God's way of meeting a need among His people, why it is important to be elevated, appointed, ordained and commission before the people, why leaders must be morally, spiritually, and mentally capable, and what is the essence of true leadership. The author also discusses what true leadership for God's people is not, by giving examples of domineering leaders, while enlightening the reader on the spirit of manipulation and control. The author leaves the reader with much insight, and enough information to determine what the effects of unwise leadership are by defining the importance of truth.
