About the Book

Be A Leader...And Not Just A Supervisor This is a big book (primer) with 392 pages of meaningful information. It has something for everyone who holds or desires to hold, a supervisory position. This book differentiates leaders from supervisors at all levels and covers an enormous amount of material that supervisors deal with on a daily basis. Topics such as: motivating people, leadership characteristics, taking care of your people, managing stress, leadership styles, communication, conflict resolution and management, writing for the workplace, dealing with the different generations, difficult conversations, project management, team building and much more! It's a contemporary textbook you can turn to that will help answer questions involving the most constant and nerve-racking "supervisory demands." This book is based on solid experience, expertise, as well as research. Everything Ken cites in his book has been personally experienced. The characteristics and concepts discussed are straightforward, proven, timeless and expressed in a pragmatic manner and his examples are real and instructive.
