Alors qu'elle tente de prendre ses repères dans cette nouvelle existence, certains membres du clan sont mystérieusement assassinés. Mais qui se cache derrière cette menace insaisissable ? Et pourquoi le clan n'arrive-t-il pas à la débusquer ? Lorsque l'un des Écorcheurs est assassiné devant le clan réuni, Lorelei comprend qu'il ne lui suffira pas d'être immortelle pour survivre.
About the Author: Née le 10 juillet 1978 en région parisienne. L'art et la culture tiennent une grande place dans l'éducation que ses parents, professeurs des écoles tous les deux, lui prodiguent. Très jeune, on lui lit beaucoup d'histoires et très vite, elle trouve un véritable plaisir à s'évader au coeur de ces mondes imaginaires qui peuplent la littérature enfantine. Son goût pour la lecture et l'écriture l'oriente tout naturellement vers des études littéraires. En 1996, elle obtient un baccalauréat série Littéraire et entre en hypokhâgne. L'année suivante, elle rejoint l'université de Paris X - Nanterre et obtient un DEUG de lettres modernes en juin 1998. Elle intègre alors un cercle littéraire, participe au Printemps des Poètes et publie plusieurs poésies illustrées dont l'Effraie et La nuit de Walpurgis dans le journal de la faculté. Elle poursuit en licence qu'elle valide en juin 1999. Elle quitte alors la région parisienne pour le Finistère et obtient une maîtrise sur le thème du masque dans la société aristocratique du XVIIème siècle en juin 2000 à la faculté de Lettres de Brest. Le projet d'écrire un roman fantastique tournant autour du thème du non-mort s'impose très tôt comme LE projet de sa vie et, est-ce l'influence de Stoker ou la simple fascination pour le mythe, elle choisit le revenant, et pas n'importe lequel: le vampire. S'en suivront des années hantées par ce projet si cher à ses yeux mais qu'elle a placé si haut qu'elle craint de ne jamais pouvoir l'atteindre. Mais le vampire qu'elle a créé ne peut se résoudre à seulement exister dans l'esprit de celle qui l'a imaginé. Il parvient à hisser le projet d'écriture initial au rang d'ultime projet, celui qui s'inscrit viscéralement dans un être: celui qui, s'il n'aboutit pas, emportera une partie de l'auteur avec lui. Les entraves tombent, le vampire prend corps sous la plume de celle qui l'a imaginé, son univers se dessine et son histoire éclate enfin aux yeux du monde sous la forme d'un roman, un roman sombre, au même titre que les créatures de l'ombre qui le peuplent: Le sépulcre de cristal.
