'Last Seen In Trinidad' is a magical and exciting story about a brother and sister who adventure to find Santa Claus with their beloved pet dog 'Dusty.'
Santa Claus visits Trinidad and Tobago (a twin island Republic in the Caribbean), and has so much fun exploring the local customs that he loses track of time. He goes missing! All his mail is piled high in the post office and the elves are panicking on Christmas Eve.
As young readers journey with the protagonists to find Santa they learn about the main Christmas customs on the islands, from parang music to pastelle making. Local children and those from the Caribbean Diaspora can delight in stories that they are familiar with, while children from other countries can experience the wonder and culture of somewhere new!
'Last Seen In Trinidad' is one in a series of books sold by IMAGINATION KEEPSAKES which are creative, educational stories written by Jaime Lee Loy and illustrated by Shawn Chong Ashing.
In 2012 IMAGINATION KEEPSAKES launched these stories as customizable products - published keepsakes, where the protagonist's hair, eye, skin colour and gender could be tailored to suit a particular child. The body text could also be altered to include names, locations and specific details to the child.

About the Author: Jaime Lee Loy is a contemporary artist and writer from Trinidad. She has won several international and local awards and grants to exhibit art, produce film, and publish fiction both locally and abroad over the last ten years. She has published adult fiction in the USA and began writing children's fictional stories in 2012, inspired mainly by her daughter Kayla.
Lee Loy's art and adult fiction can sometimes be classified as humanitarian with social concerns. She formed a creative business TRINIDAD HOME STUDIO LTD in 2011 offering creative services and products in the areas of education, culture, art and charity.
In 2012 she formed an arts-based charity titled SUMMER HEROES where underserved and special needs kids participated in art activities guided by a creative curriculum, and sometimes working with a licensed art therapist.
The illustrator of the stories, Shawn Chong Ashing is also an artist and animator, with over 7 years of experience in the industry. He is currently the Animation Director in one of the leading advertising agencies in Trinidad. An entrepreneur at heart he designs and manages his own clothing line FARI, which draws inspiration from the Rastafari movement.
In 2012 he was the recipient of an Idea to Innovation Award which allowed him to develop SiteSeer, a tourist based business that promotes local historical buildings. He is the main graphic artist and animator for Trinidad Home Studio Ltd.
